Send feedbackI receive four alumni magazines (UNC, UNC-G, and NYU in addition to Brown’s). I flip through UNC and acknowledge my southern roots; UNC-G, where as a Woman’s College student I forged ahead in the lunch counter sit-ins, occasionally has an article about that time in the ’60s; and NYU’s magazine seems mostly a commercial venue. My Brown Alumni Magazine, however, is read cover to cover for the gems of writing about essential issues, not only for the University, but as the University leads the world. Thank you for creating such a vital conveyance of ideas.

Thank you, [recently retired editor & publisher] Norman Boucher, for 24 years of editorial excellence. During your tenure the Brown Alumni Magazine has provoked, educated, and entertained me—just as Brown did, all those years ago. Most importantly, it inspired me—again, just like Brown. The magazine has connected me to the University, while never serving as its mouthpiece. I’m sure behind the scenes you had to navigate some rough waters. But you steered your ship well, and even made it look easy. Good luck with whatever comes next. You’ve been ever true, for sure.
