Many thanks for your profile of alum Jim Gatewood in the June-August BAM. As a social worker I’m always on the lookout for articles highlighting fellow Brunonians who share my commitment to supporting those whose circumstances require a professional level of support/intervention. I share his experience that my own life has been enriched by engagement with those who have often been oppressed and excluded from many of the mainstream institutions Ivy League graduates take for granted. Thank you for outlining the unfortunate complexities of providing effective support to the individuals he services. I hope to read similar articles in the future.
