I was thrilled to read that Funk Nite is back on. Thursday nights (N.B. the party ended at 1a.m., not midnight!) were a weekly highlight, and Funk Nite still ranks as one of my favorite venues to DJ – and that’s counting the clubs I played in in NYC post-Brown – for the simple reason that it was Brown.
