I liked Larry [Elder ’74] when we were students at Brown. I like how he thinks and what he has to say. None of us are perfect, but given the chance, I would vote for him before I would vote for Biden or Trump.

Dear God what’s going on out there???

Anti-woke means racist and women do not exist to motivate men through marriage. Yeesh.

It’s disappointing to see an educated African American male so far out of touch with the wide scale realities that most of us face. He’s entitled to his opinions but they are flawed in many ways.

I am really angry. Why is Brown even talking about Larry Elder?????? You should hang your head in shame!!!!

I liked reading about Larry Elder’s views. Food for thought.

The values that Elder espouses—hard work, self reliance, etc.— are, of course, admirable. But I wish the BAM profile had addressed one of the most fundamental and under-appreciated issues of our time: that Elder and his brethren—the Hannitys, Pragers, Limbaughs, and all the copycats —enrich themselves by preaching anger, fear, hatred, and divisiveness. Without their inflammatory vitriol a President Trump is not conceivable. So long as hate-mongering remains as lucrative as it is, political solutions to vexing social problems will remain impossible to achieve.  We need to stop pretending that they are simply people with conservative viewpoints. They are leeches who poison the public discourse.

Nice hit piece on Larrry Elder! You have graduates who admire Mr. Elder. Like him, we oppose illegal immigration and believe that the abortion culture is a culture of violence. You might have tried finding a “reporter” who was more objective but I guess you can’t help flaunting your contempt for those of us who like Larry Elder—which is why I will never donate to Brown.

Thanks for your fair and thoughtful article on Larry Elder. What a good country we’d be if people of all races embraced his wise, compassionate, and empowering views. Larry makes me proud to be a Brown graduate.
