Send feedbackI have always enjoyed keeping up with Brown through BAM, but never felt moved to actually submit a comment til reading this final piece in the June-August ’25 issue. Being realistic, the purpose of an alumni publication is to keep graduates connected to their alma mater with the hope they will direct some of their financial resources to the university. BAM usually does a good job of spotlighting the best of Brown achievements and culture and making alums proud to say “I’m a Brown grad.” That is why I find it so odd you would choose to put this piece as the final word of this issue. Was your intent to make current students sound either totally vapid or under the influence of some mind-altering substance? Or was the selection an attempt at humor that didn’t quite succeed?
